A driver reportedly left a woman dead on a lonely road

Police are questioning a motorist suspected of leaving a lady dead on the side of a lonely road after their vehicle was found and reported to officials.

Around 8 a.m. on Saturday, the corpse of the 47-year-old lady was discovered along Four AK Road in Oakey in the Toowoomba district of Queensland.

Police said they discovered the automobile believed to have been involved in the incident after receiving information from a member of the public.

The car’s driver is helping police with their investigations.

According to preliminary evidence, the lady may have been hit by a car on Saturday between midnight and 8 a.m.

The woman’s death is being investigated by the criminal investigation branch and forensic crash section of the Queensland Police.

Police pleaded for anybody who may have dashcam video from the area tonight or information concerning her death to get in touch with them or Crime Stoppers.
