Union Square metro station panics as ‘masses’ cough

At a subway stop in New York City, panic has broken out as a “mass” of people—including police officers—started coughing after the air was sprayed with “pepper stay.”

Just after 11 a.m. on Friday, Union Square station was evacuated, and one person was sent to the hospital as a result of the incident.
