Life in Cornwall usually moves at an unhurried pace, especially in its postcard-perfect coastal villages.
That calm has been shaken after news emerged that a member of Mick Jagger’s extended family is at the centre of a worrying disappearance, sparking an urgent search and a wave of concern far beyond the region.
Search Intensifies for Assisi Jackson’s Partner
The missing person is Alexander Key, a 37-year-old chef and long-term partner of Assisi Jackson, Mick Jagger’s granddaughter.
Alexander, who shares two children with Assisi, was last seen on Friday afternoon in the village of Boscastle.
When he failed to return home or make contact, the situation quickly escalated.
By Saturday evening, Devon and Cornwall Police officially listed him as missing and launched a public appeal, urging anyone with information to come forward.
Jade Jagger Amplifies Police Appeal
Concern spread further on Sunday morning when Jade Jagger, Assisi’s mother and a well-known jewellery designer, shared the police appeal on social media.
Posting several images of Alexander, Jade appealed directly to the public for help in locating him.
Police describe Alexander as being of medium build, with striking peroxide blonde hair that makes him stand out in a crowd.
He is also known for wearing bright, colourful clothing.
In the images shared by Jade, Alexander can be seen in a bold orange patterned jacket, an outfit officers hope will jog memories.
Growing Fears as Searches Continue
Authorities have made it clear that concern for Alexander’s welfare is increasing as time passes.
Officers remain focused on the Boscastle area, carrying out searches and enquiries while asking residents and visitors alike to stay alert.
Boscastle, while beautiful, has its risks.
The village’s dramatic harbour, winding streets, and cliff-top paths can be dangerous, especially during colder months when weather conditions change quickly.
Police are urging anyone who may have seen Alexander, or who has any information at all, to contact them immediately by calling 999 and quoting log number 847 of 24/1/26.
A Family Rooted in Cornwall Life
Alexander and Assisi have built their lives in Cornwall, where they are raising their two daughters, Ezra, 11, and Romy, six.
Beyond family life, Alexander is deeply connected to the local community through his work.
He co-owns The Rocket Store, a popular seafood restaurant in Boscastle, alongside head chef Freddie Woodruff.
The restaurant has earned a strong reputation for its fresh, locally sourced ingredients, including fish caught daily by Alexander’s father and meat supplied from the family’s own farm.
Inside, the space also reflects Assisi’s artistic roots, featuring a star constellation painting by her father, artist Piers Jackson.
Mick Jagger’s Expanding Family Tree
Assisi is the eldest grandchild of Rolling Stones frontman Sir Mick Jagger, now 82, and the daughter of Jade Jagger and Piers Jackson.
The family’s unconventional timeline has often drawn attention.
Jade was pregnant with her son, Ray Emmanuel Fillary, at the same time Assisi was expecting her first child.
Ray was born just weeks after Ezra arrived in May 2014, placing Jade in the unusual position of becoming both a mother and a grandmother to newborns within the same month.
What Happens Next?
For now, the focus remains firmly on finding Alexander Key and ensuring his safety.
Police continue their enquiries, the family is appealing publicly for help, and the local community waits anxiously for news.
Anyone with even the smallest piece of information is being urged to speak up, as hope remains that Alexander can be found and brought home safely.
