Kelly Brook Revisits Past Tension With Ant and Dec as She Parachutes Into Australian Jungle for I’m A Celebrity

Kelly Brook may have stepped back into the spotlight on I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!, but her history with Ant and Dec made for a potentially awkward reunion.

The model and actress, 45, revealed on Tuesday night’s episode a stomach-churning confession about flatulence that had the famous duo cracking jokes.

Fans might remember that Kelly and the presenting pair have had a tense relationship stretching back to 2009, when Kelly claimed that her short-lived stint as a judge on Britain’s Got Talent was cut short due to a clash with the duo.

She insisted that her career suffered after the axing, saying ITV staff told her she had “upset Ant and Dec,” leaving her options limited.

A Flatulent Confession That Made the Jungle Giggle

During her time in camp, Kelly opened up to Angry Ginge and Ruby Wax about a macrobiotic dinner she once attended at Madonna’s house, hosted by Gwyneth Paltrow.

The meal didn’t sit well with her stomach, leading to an embarrassing moment in front of the pop stars.

She recounted: “My stomach just started rumbling so bad… and I let out the smelliest fart.

It went right up. Madonna just kind of looked away and scuttled off.”

Not one to let the moment pass, Ant and Dec cheekily nicknamed her “Smelly Brook” on air and joked about staying out of her way during the next Bushtucker trial when Aitch joined the jungle.

History on the Horizon

Kelly’s first encounter with Ant and Dec this series came dramatically: she parachuted onto the beach and announced, “Ant and Dec, I’m coming for you!”

Despite the history, the initial chats were polite small talk, though social media quickly reminded viewers of their fraught past.

One fan wrote: “Do people realise Kelly Brook & Ant and Dec have serious beef with each other? #ImACeleb.”

Another added: “Just realised. Doesn’t Kelly Brook not like Ant and Dec after what happened at Britain’s Got Talent? #ImACeleb.”

Ahead of filming, Kelly had hinted at a willingness to keep things cordial, describing her “dream camper” as Ant & Dec, noting they were stylish and fun to observe.

The BGT Backstory

Kelly’s tension with the presenting duo dates back to her time as the fourth judge on Britain’s Got Talent in 2009.

She lasted only a week before being removed, a move she blamed on Ant and Dec’s alleged interference.

In their 2010 autobiography, Dec explained their confusion over her recruitment: “Kelly looked nervous… I told her it was going to be great fun.

Then she asked, ‘And what do you do on the show?’” They admitted they were annoyed they hadn’t been consulted about her addition, though Simon Cowell had made the decision independently.

Kelly, in turn, felt slighted by their portrayal and noted she would not include them in her own autobiography.

A source described the fallout as “very upsetting”, with both sides speaking in anger, leaving the tension to linger for years.

Back in the Jungle

Despite the rocky past, Kelly is determined to make her I’m A Celebrity experience a success.

Both she and the duo are navigating a potentially tense atmosphere, though their history won’t be referenced on air—it would be too awkward.

Kelly is reportedly earning £80,000 for her stint, a notable sum though lower than the previously speculated £300,000.

For fans of the show, it adds an extra layer of drama to see old rivals coexist in close quarters—especially when cheeky nicknames and stomach jokes are on the menu.
