Trump denies writing raunchy Epstein birthday letter as he threatens to sue Wall Street Journal over explosive report

Just when it seemed the heat might be dying down, Donald Trump finds himself right back in the middle of the firestorm—this time over an alleged birthday letter he supposedly sent Jeffrey Epstein.

And now, MAGA supporters who had grown restless over Trump’s reluctance to expose Epstein’s ties are suddenly rallying again—at least for now.

The Birthday Card That Sparked a Political Blaze

It all blew up again after The Wall Street Journal published what they claim is a bizarre 50th birthday card Trump sent Epstein in 2003.

The card allegedly included a sketch of a naked woman and a cheeky message signed “Donald.”

Naturally, it didn’t take long for Trump to hit back, calling the letter “completely fake,” and announcing plans to sue the Journal and its parent company, NewsCorp.

He’s now pushing Attorney General Pam Bondi to unseal grand jury testimony related to Epstein’s crimes—something many of his supporters have been demanding for years.

MAGA Supporters Rekindle Their Faith—For Now

For months, MAGA loyalists had grown frustrated, even angry, with Trump and Bondi for not releasing Epstein’s infamous client list—something Trump had previously promised.

Some influencers even turned on him.

But this latest move to unseal grand jury records seems to have flipped the script.

Riley Gaines, who had recently slammed Trump’s handling of the issue, was among the first to praise his change of heart, posting: “This is fantastic news.”

Donald Trump Jr. chimed in too, enthusiastically writing “LFG” (let’s f***ing go), and firebrand Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene declared the president was “on the right path.”

Charlie Kirk, who had just said he was done talking about Epstein, reversed course, posting: “Major move.

Let’s go!” while conservative commentator Benny Johnson called it a “win” for MAGA.

Trump Doubles Down and Threatens Lawsuit

In his typical style, Trump didn’t hold back. He went on a full-scale offensive on Truth Social Thursday night, calling the letter “fake,” the Journal “desperate,” and promising to sue.

“These are not my words, not the way I talk. I don’t draw pictures,” Trump wrote.

“I told Rupert Murdoch it was a scam… now I’m going to sue his ass off.”

He even accused the outlet of running a malicious smear campaign and claimed both the editor, Emma Tucker, and Murdoch himself were warned ahead of publication.

Pam Bondi Vows to Act Swiftly

Pam Bondi didn’t waste time responding. Within hours, she confirmed she was ready to take the matter to court and begin unsealing grand jury transcripts related to Epstein.

“President Trump — we are ready to move the court tomorrow,” she posted.

Still, critics pointed out that grand jury transcripts might only scratch the surface. Many want more—especially the elusive client list and further insight into Epstein’s suspicious death in 2019.

Critics Say It’s Still Not Enough

Skeptics, including those from within MAGA ranks, remain wary.

Elon Musk, who previously accused Trump of stalling to protect himself, has since walked back those claims—but he’s still not fully convinced.

Just a few weeks ago, Musk was among the loudest voices calling out both Trump and Bondi.

He unfollowed Bondi and labeled her prior remarks on Epstein’s death as “the final straw.”

After this week’s letter scandal, though, even Musk seemed to doubt the story’s authenticity, saying it “sounds bogus.”

MAGA Fallout and the Phase 1 Flop

The latest wave of backlash was fueled in part by Bondi’s earlier stunt in February when she handed out binders labeled “Phase 1” to influencers, which turned out to contain nothing new.

She also walked back previous claims that a client list existed, saying it was never real and that Epstein had, in her view, taken his own life in prison—another deeply controversial statement.

Divided Supporters Wait to See What Happens Next

Now, the MAGA base is split. Some are celebrating Trump’s promise to act, while others are waiting to see if this is another PR stunt to win back loyalty.

Trump insists it’s all fake news. He denied the story multiple times, writing: “This is not me… It’s not my language. It’s not my words.”

But many are still asking the same question: If there’s really nothing to hide, why not release everything?

Trump Threatens to Sue the Journal and NewsCorp

In his final social media flurry Thursday night, Trump claimed he’d warned The Wall Street Journal personally and through press secretary Karoline Leavitt that the letter was fake.

Still, he said, the Journal went ahead—and now, he plans to take them to court.

He also took the opportunity to blast the media more broadly, saying: “The press has to learn to be truthful and not rely on sources that probably don’t even exist.”

More Drama, More Questions—and No End in Sight

This saga is far from over. Trump’s threat to sue The Wall Street Journal has breathed new life into a controversy that just won’t die.

Whether or not the grand jury documents will be released—or if they’ll contain anything truly new—remains to be seen.

But for now, MAGA supporters are watching closely, hoping the Epstein mystery might finally crack open.
