An accident in Anambra state claimed the lives of five soldiers and left others gravely injured.
On Tuesday, Feb. 8, officers from the 302 Artillery Regiment, General Support, Onitsha, were riding in an MRAP (mine-resistant, ambush-protected vehicle) when it crashed.
They were on their way to Ihiala to join their colleagues at a military checkpoint after receiving intelligence that ESN operatives were about to attack the checkpoint, according to the report.
