Taurus EMS received messages from a whatsapp group just after midnight requesting medical aid for a family of four in Glenhills- Kwa Dukuza.
Upon arrival of Taurus EMS Dispatch Crews, it was discovered that three adults and one child had suffered smoke inhalation as a result of having a fire to keep warm indoors.
Medics on the scene treated the family, and once they were stabilized, they were brought to a local institution for additional treatment.
It is recommended that, because it is winter, we try to stay warm; nonetheless, one must take the appropriate precautions.
