An 11-year-old boy is currently fighting for his life after being struck by a car in Chester during the evening rush hour.
The incident occurred around 5:12 p.m. on a busy street, where the child, who was walking, suffered severe injuries.
Emergency services quickly arrived at the scene and treated the boy before rushing him to Alder Hey Hospital for further care.
Details of the Crash
The vehicle involved in the collision was a Nissan, driven by a 28-year-old woman.
Fortunately, she was not harmed in the incident.
Authorities have confirmed that no arrests have been made as investigations continue, while the young victim remains hospitalized.
Police Appeal for Information
Inspector Anton Sullivan from the Constabulary’s Roads and Crime Unit shared his condolences, acknowledging the distress this incident has caused.
He urged anyone who may have witnessed the crash or has relevant information, including dashcam or CCTV footage, to come forward.
The police are working to determine the circumstances leading up to the tragic event.
