Moments that feel ordinary can suddenly take a heartbreaking turn, and the motocross world was reminded of that when news broke about the passing of 17-year-old rising talent Enzo Badenas.
What started as a routine day on the training track ended with an unimaginable loss for his family, teammates, and fans.
Confirmation From the National Team
The tragic update was shared on Monday by the Real Federación Motociclista Española (RFME), who confirmed that the young rider had died after suffering a fatal injury during a practice session.
Badenas was training privately at Red Sand Park in Vilafamés, a site where he had spent countless hours sharpening his craft.
Heartfelt Condolences From the Sporting Community
Soon after the announcement, the Specialized Center for Motor Sports Technification (CETDM), where Badenas trained, released a message expressing their grief.
They shared their sympathy with his loved ones, stating that every member of the CETDM family was sending “condolences, love, and strength” to those closest to Enzo during this painful period.
A Young Athlete With a Bright Path
Badenas joined CETDM in 2023, shortly after capturing the Spanish 85cc Motocross Championship.
Coaches and staff reflected on how much he had grown—both as a competitor and as a young man—highlighting the podium finishes and victories he achieved along the way.
Family Announces Funeral Arrangements
His family has since confirmed the plans to honor his memory.
A wake and funeral mass will take place on December 10th at the Monduver Funeral Home in Gandia.
Their message thanked supporters for the overwhelming love they’ve received, adding that Enzo “would have loved to see you all there.”
A Rising Star Lost Too Soon
Widely recognized as one of Spain’s most promising young motocross athletes, Badenas had made his mark both nationally and internationally, including appearances in the European Championship.
His skills were undeniable—and tragically, just an hour before the accident, he shared a clip on his Instagram story showcasing his impressive riding on the dirt track.
A Final Post Filled With Love
Adding to the heartbreak, Enzo’s last Instagram post wasn’t about racing—it was a touching message dedicated to his father on his birthday.
He reflected on their tough moments, their victories, and the deep bond they shared.
He thanked his father for being one of the most important people in his life and expressed how proud he was to call him dad.
