Young Girl Dies from Devastating Injuries in Freak Go-Kart Incident at Urban Air Trampoline and Adventure Park in Port St Lucie Florida

A fun day at an adventure park in Florida turned into a nightmare when a six-year-old girl tragically lost her life following a freak accident.

The young child, whose identity has not been released, was reportedly injured while go-karting at the Urban Air Trampoline and Adventure Park in Port St. Lucie, according to WPTV.

First responders rushed to the scene on Saturday evening around 9 p.m., the Port St. Lucie Police Department told the Daily Mail.

Despite emergency efforts, the girl succumbed to her injuries the following day.

Investigation Underway

Authorities have not disclosed specific details about the injuries, and the investigation is ongoing.

The medical examiner is awaiting further results to determine the exact cause of death.

Police confirmed they are carefully reviewing all aspects of the incident.

About Urban Air Adventure Parks

Urban Air Adventure Parks offer a mix of indoor trampolines, climbing walls, racing, and jumping activities.

While there are generally no strict age limits, most parks provide designated areas for toddlers and young children aged seven and under.

Some “premium” attractions, like climbing walls, come with specific height requirements.

Children under 18 must have a parent’s signature on a waiver, and adult supervision is required in the kids’ areas.

Urban Air in Port St. Lucie has been contacted by the Daily Mail for comment regarding the tragic accident.

A Pattern of Accidents

Unfortunately, this is not the first time a serious incident has occurred at an Urban Air park.

In 2023, another six-year-old girl was nearly strangled by a zip line chord at a location in Newnan, Georgia.

Her father, Michael Wilbourn, had to rescue her after the zip line became tangled around her neck multiple times.

Wilbourn told USA Today that no staff intervened as he freed his daughter from the harness.

She suffered abrasions and minor injuries, but thankfully survived.

At the time, the park released a statement emphasizing guest safety and expressing relief that the child was unharmed.

Zip Line Dangers Highlighted

Similar incidents have happened elsewhere.

In May 2022, a 23-year-old mother named Evelyn Rapier was nearly strangled by a zipline harness at a Bloomingdale, Chicago location.

Celebrating her son’s birthday, she described the terrifying moment, saying she feared for her life. Medical screening revealed rope burns around her neck.

Rapier criticized the park for unsafe practices, urging the public to take caution with certain attractions.

Urban Air responded, stating that ride safety requires cooperation between staff and guests, highlighting the importance of following posted and verbal guidelines.

Ongoing Concerns About Adventure Park Safety

These repeated incidents raise serious questions about safety measures at adventure parks, particularly regarding zip lines and other high-risk attractions.

Parents and guardians are being reminded to supervise children closely and ensure that all safety protocols are strictly followed.
