Yesler Terrace Shooting Leaves One Killed, One Injured

On Friday morning, one man was murdered and another was injured in a gunshot on Yesler Terrace, and detectives are still investigating.

Multiple 911 callers reported hearing gunfire around 4:29 a.m. in the 1100 block of East Fir Street. Officers discovered a 27-year-old male suffering from a fatal gunshot wound, and Seattle Fire Department doctors pronounced him dead at the spot. A second victim, a 52-year-old male with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound, was also brought to Harborview Medical Center for treatment.

Police will continue to examine if a stolen tow truck was involved in the shooting after discovering it at the crime site.

The Crime Site Investigation Unit of the Seattle Police Department arrived to analyse the scene for evidence.

Additionally, homicide detectives responded and will be leading the continuing investigation.
