WWE legend John Cena is gearing up for a special farewell tour in 2025, marking his official retirement from the ring.
Fans are excited as the iconic wrestler prepares to make his long-awaited return to the UK next month as part of the “Road to WrestleMania” tour.
For many, this will be their last chance to see Cena in action, and the anticipation is building.
Cena’s Return to Europe
Back in July 2024, Cena stunned the world by announcing that he would retire from wrestling in 2025, leaving fans wondering when they might see him perform again.
Those in Europe, especially, were concerned they might miss out on one final appearance.
But the WWE has come to the rescue by confirming that Cena, a 16-time World Champion, will make stops at three major events in Europe next month.
Cena will take part in the tour at the Forest National arena in Brussels on March 17th, the OVO Hydro in Glasgow on March 24th, and the O2 Arena in London on March 31st.
This marks Cena’s first return to British soil since his surprise appearance at the Money In The Bank event in London back in 2023.
Fans will now have the rare opportunity to catch the legendary star in action one last time, alongside other huge WWE names like Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns, and Rhea Ripley.
Cena’s Retirement Plans and Farewell Tour
The 47-year-old Cena, who has been a household name in WWE for nearly two decades, has already confirmed that his final wrestling match will take place in December 2025.
Speaking to Collider, Cena shared his plans for a farewell tour, which will cover around 36 dates worldwide throughout 2025.
He revealed that he’s giving the entire year to WWE, with the tour kicking off in January and wrapping up in December.
Cena is determined to show his gratitude to WWE fans around the world with this final series of matches.
“I’ve given the calendar year 2025 to WWE,” Cena said.
“I am retiring in 2025, and I start that farewell tour in January.
I’ll end it in December, and it’s going to be right around 36 dates around the world to pay thanks and gratitude to the WWE audiences around the world.”
