A woman’s dead body was discovered in a South Los Angeles residence, wrapped in a garbage bag.

The startled mother of a 26-year-old Hispanic male who lived in the 2200 block of Wall Street on Sunday discovered the death of Hannah Rachel Collins, 30, in his bedroom.

Although the manner and date of her death are still unknown, investigators are still looking for the 26-year-old suspect.

According to the New York Post, the mother dialed 911 and informed the cops dispatched that she entered her son’s room early on Sunday to look into a “distinct gas smell.”

Instead, she found Collins’ body wrapped in plastic, which was a horrific sight.

Collins, who is from Mississippi, has not been in contact with her family since just after her birthday on August 7, a family member told the Post.

In June, she had moved to LA from her native state.

The Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office said that the girl had recently celebrated her birthday two weeks previously.

The victim was identified by authorities as a Caucasian woman, and paramedics declared her dead there and then.

There hasn’t been anything disclosed about the victim’s life.

At the time of the discovery, the homeowner was unable to find her son.

A homicide investigation was started by the Los Angeles Police Department, although no arrests have been made as of yet.

Police are still looking for the 26-year-old suspect, but they haven’t made his identity known to the general public.
