Mark Heffron, a 33-year-old window cleaner from Oldham, has become an unlikely social media star after sharing a seemingly innocent post on Facebook.
What started as a routine business promotion quickly turned into a viral sensation, with women flooding the comments section with playful compliments.
The Snap That Took the Internet by Storm
Earlier this month, Mark posted a picture of himself at work, promoting his window cleaning business, Hefron Multiclean.
In the photo, Mark, a former boxer, is seen standing in front of a row of houses, wearing a wet T-shirt, matching dark sweatpants, and black trainers.
With a jet-powered broom and water tank in hand, he smiled at the camera, showing off his well-toned arms.
The caption simply read, “Perfect weather for cleaning windows.”
What seemed like a regular post to attract business soon sparked a flood of attention from his followers, particularly from women commenting on his good looks and cheeky charm.
Many jokingly suggested they were “making their windows dirty” just to get him to clean them.
Hilarious Reactions Flood the Comments
The post quickly turned into a lighthearted discussion with women playfully vying for Mark’s attention.
One woman humorously claimed she was “chucking mud at the windows,” while another offered him a cup of tea, writing, “How much full house can you do inside as well if you like have a brew make yourself at home.”
The compliments kept rolling in, with some users commenting on the contrast between Mark and their usual window cleaners.
One person joked, “F***ing hell, window cleaners round here don’t look like this,” while another quipped, “I don’t know what he’s cleaning but mine’s very very dirty.”
A few even joked about relocating just to be closer to the handsome window cleaner, with comments like, “Right now I have to move to Bury” and “Good lord.
That’s it, I’m moving to Bury.”
Mark’s Reaction to the Unexpected Fame
Mark, however, didn’t expect such attention and was surprised by the reactions.
“I post on that Facebook page all the time to get more business, and I didn’t think it was anything different from what I always post,” he told Femail.
“It’s just me doing my job, but I was facing the camera for that one.”
He also clarified that there was no winking emoji on the post, despite people joking that it was intentional. “I don’t know why, I’m confused,” he laughed.
“People have been saying I did the winking face emoji on purpose, but I didn’t.”
Despite the unexpected attention, Mark found the humor in the situation.
“It made me laugh when I saw the comments, and it made my missus laugh too.
She found it funny.” Mark’s girlfriend wasn’t bothered by the attention, and he remained focused on his family and work.
A Boost to His Business
The viral post has proved to be a huge business boost for Mark, with an influx of new customers. “It’s massively helped business,” he said.
“I’m getting calls for areas I don’t even cover, so I’m really booked up now.”
He mentioned that he had never received such a response for his looks before, as he usually cleans windows while his customers are away at work.
While Mark doesn’t plan on posting more pictures of himself in front of the camera, he’s glad that the viral moment helped grow his business.
From Boxing to Window Cleaning: Mark’s Journey
Mark’s window cleaning career began 15 years ago when a local business owner gave him a job in his company.
He joked at the time that one day he’d run his own successful business.
After retiring from boxing, Mark decided to turn that joke into reality by opening his own window cleaning company, which is now thriving thanks to his recent social media fame.
Mark’s story shows how a simple, everyday post can unexpectedly turn into a viral moment, boosting both business and personal recognition in ways he never imagined.
