A groundbreaking political figure
In 2021, Miss Asghar made history by becoming the first woman of colour to be elected to the Senedd since its establishment in 1999.
Her late father, Mohammad Asghar, popularly known as Oscar, served as a regional Member of the Senedd for South Wales East until his unexpected passing in June 2020.

Additionally, her LinkedIn profile highlights her diverse professional background, which includes roles as a TV presenter, host, author, producer at Number 59 Productions, YouTube creator, voice-over artist, and even an agony aunt.
