The Lagos State Ministry of Waterfront Infrastructure Development on Thursday organised a capacity training programme for its junior officers in line with the State Government’s T.H.E.M.E.S agenda of equipping its workforce with relevant skills, knowledge and competence to deliver the dividends of democracy to citizens.

The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Engr. Olawale Agoro, in his opening address at the training programme with the theme: “Enhancing Performance for an Improved Service Delivery”, said the programme was geared towards improving the capacity of junior staff for the fulfilment of the Greater Lagos vision of the present administration.

He urged participants to be focused during the training programme as it will afford them the opportunity to learn new things, relearn what they knew before and unlearn unaccepted practices and ideas for enhanced service delivery

Some of the topics treated at the one-day training programme include Effective Communication and Interpersonal Skills, Overview of Public Service Rules and Relationship and Conflict Management in the workplace amongst others.
