Thursday, 27 January 2022 – Deputy President William Ruto has been holding rallies in different parts of the country as he seeks to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta in the hotly contested August 9 general election.

Most of DP Ruto’s rallies are jam-packed, leading to rumours that he mobilizes the crowd through cash handouts.

The rumours have been confirmed after a video emerged showing hundreds of people lining up to receive money from some leaders allied to the Deputy President.

They were being bribed to attend one of the recent rallies that the Deputy President hosted.
