A newly surfaced video has been making the rounds online, showing the dramatic destruction of a Ukrainian Tunguska air defense missile system.
The footage, which appeared on the Telegram channel “Dva Mayora,” captures the intense moment near the city of Sudzha in Russia’s Kursk region.
Shocking Footage Reveals Devastating Strike
The video, recorded by an objective control camera, follows the Tunguska as it moves across open terrain.
Suddenly, a powerful strike hits the vehicle, resulting in a massive explosion.
Moments later, two Ukrainian servicemen are seen fleeing the damaged vehicle, leaving behind the smoldering wreckage.
Attack Coincides With Ukrainian Offensive in Kursk
Reports indicate that the footage was recorded on February 6—the same day Ukrainian forces launched a new offensive in Russia’s Kursk region.
The attack, which saw hundreds of Ukrainian troops advancing toward Russian-held positions, ended in heavy losses for Ukraine.
Russian Defense Ministry Reports Heavy Ukrainian Losses
According to Russia’s Ministry of Defense, Ukrainian forces lost over 370 soldiers and dozens of military vehicles in the failed offensive.
Among the destroyed equipment were 11 tanks, seven infantry fighting vehicles, three armored personnel carriers, 38 armored combat vehicles, a multiple-launch rocket system, and the Tunguska air defense system seen in the video.
Ukraine’s Offensive Ends in Failure
On the morning of February 6, a column of Ukrainian troops—estimated to be between 400 and 600 soldiers—moved from the village of Kolmakov in an attempt to advance into Russian-held territory.
However, Russian forces claim to have successfully repelled the attack, ensuring that settlements like Cherkasskaya Konopelka and Ulanok remained under their control.
Russian Military Declares Victory in Kursk Region
Following the clash, the Russian Defense Ministry released a statement declaring that “all enemy attacks have been repelled.”
The failed offensive resulted in significant losses for Ukraine, marking one of the bloodiest days in the region.
This is a developing story, and more updates may follow as the situation unfolds.
