Vice-President Osinabajo presides over Cabinet meeting

The weekly meeting of the Federal Executive Council commenced on Wednesday morning with Vice President Yemi Osinbajo presiding.

Osinbajo chairs the meeting in the absence of President Muhammadu Buhari who is in Paris, France, for a one-day official visit as guest of President Emmanuel Macron as well as for the three-day Paris Peace Forum.

Ministers physically present at the virtual meeting, which began at 10.

00am Nigerian time, were those of Health, Osagie Ehanire; Finance, Budget and National Planning, Zainab Ahmed; and Aviation, Hadi Sirika.

Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami; and Minister of State for Budget and National Planning, Clem Agba, were also physically present at the meeting.

Among other top government officials at the meeting were Chief of Staff to the President, Prof.

Ibrahim Gambari; and Permanent Secretary, Ecological Fund Office, Dr.

Habiba Muda Lawal, who represented the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.
