University of Ibadan loses two students in 24 hours

The University of Ibadan is in sorrow after losing two students in the span of 24 hours.

Adegoke Adedayo, a final-year student in the Department of History in the Faculty of Arts, and Adeyemo Oluwaseun Ayomide, a 200-level student in the Department of Microbiology in the Faculty of Science, perished in separate sad incidents over the weekend.

On Saturday, October 16, Adedayo was allegedly shot by robbers near the Pre-Boye axis in Ibadan, while Oluwaseun was apparently hit by a car near the Mobil Filling station on the UI-Ojoo route.

According to the student’s union of the institution, Adedayo was said to have been shot and efforts to save his life proved abortive as he was unable to make it to the hospital.
