Candidates with the required qualifications are invited to apply for the University of Benin (UNIBEN) direct entry screening procedure for the 2022/2023 academic year.

The University of Benin (UNIBEN) Direct Entry Admission Screening Exercise for the 2022/2023 Academic Session is scheduled to occur from Monday, November 14, 2022, to Thursday, November 24, 2022, at specified centres on the Ugbowo Campus of the University.

The Screening Exercise will be administered as a computer-based test (CBT). All candidates must be seated at least one hour prior to the start of their screening by the latest.

Direct Entry Admission to UNIBEN Evaluating Eligibility
This Screening Exercise is only open to candidates who applied through JAMB for the 2022/2023 DIRECT ENTRY Admission and selected the University of Benin as their first choice.

Attained a minimum of five (5) credit passes on the GCE O/L, SSCE, or NECO, or its equivalent.

The disciplines must comprise English language, Mathematics (for courses requiring a credit in mathematics), and three other related topics (four if removing mathematics) completed in no more than two sittings.

The method for the Application for Admission Screening is as follows:

Before commencing the application procedure, candidates are advised to have a valid email account.

Where to Apply

Visit uniben.edu
Select the WAEUP Student Portal link
To continue, click Register for application in the upper-left corner of the page.
Enter your Surname precisely as it appears on the JAMB Registration sheet, as well as your JAMB Registration Number, and your ID and Password will appear in the browser.

On the WAEUP KOFA Student Portal, click the “Login” button (top right of front page).
To log in, enter your Username and password.

To begin the application process, simply select ‘Application record’, fill out all essential fields, and upload a passport photo.

Upload a RECENT and CLEAR “11” COLOR PASSPORT PHOTO WITH A RED BACKGROUND in JPEG format only. Additionally, great care must be made to adhere to the forms indicated on the UNIBEN website and portal.

NOTE that the uploaded photo will be the only valid ID for all admitted candidates for their whole term at the University of Benin. Failure to upload the specified passport photograph will result in disqualification and admission failure/refusal.

To pay for the Application, click on “Add online payment ticket” at the bottom of the page, then click on “Pay Via Remita” in the top left corner of the page, and then follow the instructions to pay the application fee of N 2,000:00; (The fee does not include other charges), the admission screening exercise past questions for N2,000:00 (optional); with a valid ATM-Enabled Card from any Commercial Bank in Nigeria.
A link titled “Download previous questions to practice” is displayed.

Review and confirm your application information before submitting it online. (No amendments will be permitted after the deadline)
Return to the website on the specified date to print the confirmation sheet containing your unique screening schedule.

On November 8, 2022, candidates should revisit the website to confirm the day, location, and time of their screening exercise.
