UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation, Emirates Red Crescent sign partnership agreement
ABU DHABI, 14th November, 2021 – The UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation (UAEJJF) has announced the signing of a partnership agreement with the Emirates Red Crescent (ERC), to strengthen their cooperation in supporting competitors.
The announcement took place in the Jiu-Jitsu Arena in Zayed Sports City, Abu Dhabi.
According to the agreement, the ERC will support the UAEJJF’s activities, most notably the 13th World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Championship to be held from 14th to 19th November in the Jiu-Jitsu Arena in Abu Dhabi, as well as several local and international tournaments.
In November, Abu Dhabi hosts a number of jiu-jitsu championships, which will help strengthen the capital’s stature as a global hub for the sport and an ideal destination to host major events.
After hosting the World Championship from 3rd to 11th November, the jiu-jitsu capital will host the World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Championship, and the ERC will support the efforts of the UAEJJF in organising major local and international events for next season.
The agreement was signed by Mohammed Salem Al Dhaheri, Vice President of the UAEJJF, and Mohammed Yousef Al Faheem, ERC Deputy Secretary-General, in the presence of Abdul Monem Al Hashemi, President of the UAE and Asian Federations and first Vice-President of the International Federation, Dr.
Mohammed Ateeq Al Falahi, Secretary-General of the ERC, Fahad Ali Al Shamsi, Secretary-General of the UAEJJF, and Nawaf Al Ahmad, Director of the ERC Secretary-General’s Office.
