Police have filed charges against the two Just Stop Oil protesters who blocked Dartford Bridge for more than a day.

After hanging from the bridge and blocking traffic for two days, Marcus Decker, 33, and Morgan Trowland, 39, were charged with conspiring to cause a public nuisance.

The two Just Stop Oil activists were hauled down in the afternoon after a “super cherry picker” came to remove them from the girders after they positioned themselves 275 feet above one of the country’s busiest routes on Monday morning.

As the “specialised elevated platform” approached the bridge, the group dropped after deciding to assist the cops.

To the delight of drivers, they were subsequently taken into custody on charges of conspiring to cause a public nuisance, and the bridge’s carriageway has now reopened.
