Two Injured in Early Monday Yesler Terrace Shooting

Monday morning, two people were hurt in a shooting on Yesler Terrace, prompting a police investigation.

Approximately 1:30 a.m., patrol officers heard many gunshots near the intersection of Boren Avenue South and East Yesler Way. Two shooting victims were encountered by responding officers in the 100 block of Boren Avenue South. When the Seattle Fire Department medics arrived, the police rendered initial aid and subsequently passed care to the Seattle Fire Department medics. A 41-year-old lady in stable health and a 63-year-old man in critical condition were transferred to Harborview Medical Center by paramedics.

The culprit, according to witnesses, departed in a vehicle before police arrived.

Officers gathered nearly a dozen shot casings while processing the crime scene for evidence.
