Accidents in Coventry claimed the lives of two people and injured another.

At roughly the same time, a pedestrian was killed when a car drove into them on Gosford Street, and a cyclist was killed when a car drove onto Woodway Lane. Yet another pedestrian was critically hurt.

A house on Beckbury Road was hit by the automobile afterward.
The crashes have led to the detention of a 33-year-old male, who was taken into custody on Beckbury Road at around 9 a.m. today.

Two pedestrians and a cyclist were reported to have sustained significant injuries, prompting police to respond to Gosford Street in Coventry at around 8 a.m.

It has been reported that a 44-year-old pedestrian who was hit on Gosford Street and a cyclist who was hit on Woodway Lane have both tragically passed away as a result of their injuries.Another pedestrian was injured, although their condition is not thought to be critical at this time.After crashing into a house on Beckbury Road, a man fled the scene, prompting police to send in a search party that included a drone team and a dog unit.

According to reports, “at around 9am a 33-year-old man was located on Beckbury Road, Coventry and is currently being questioned in connection with the collisions.”
Gosford Street, Woodway Lane, and other nearby roads will be closed as police examine the causes of the collisions, according to the authorities.

We have informed the families of all those involved in today’s dreadful tragedies, and our sympathies are firmly with them at this terribly devastating time,” said Superintendent Ronan Tyrer of the Coventry Local Policing Area.We are only getting started with our investigations, and we have multiple scenes spread out around Coventry, so some road closures will last for quite some time.
