Holly Willoughby is set to make a big return to British television screens.
Reports indicate that she will be part of Joel Dommett’s presenting team for the upcoming National TV Awards.
This will mark her first major TV appearance since her departure from This Morning last October after 14 years as a co-host.
A Fresh Start After a Difficult Period
Holly, who is 43, left This Morning following a distressing situation involving a security guard named Gavin Plumb.
He was later sentenced to jail for a plot against her.
Despite this challenging period, Holly has been looking forward to new opportunities.
Last month, it was revealed that she will be hosting a new ITV game show alongside her former Dancing On Ice co-host, Stephen Mulhern.
Exciting New Projects Ahead
In addition to her appearance at the National TV Awards, Holly will be teaming up with Stephen for a reboot of the classic 90s game show You Bet!.
This show, based on the German format Wetten, dass..?, has previously been hosted by notable figures like Darren Day, Bruce Forsyth, and Matthew Kelly.
Holly expressed her excitement about returning to ITV and working with Stephen.
She’s eager to see the amazing talents of the show’s challengers and how the celebrity panelists will perform.
Stephen Mulhern also shared his enthusiasm, recalling how much he enjoyed You Bet! as a child and looking forward to seeing the surprising skills of the participants.
Returning to ITV and New Ventures
Holly’s return to ITV came earlier this year with her role on Dancing On Ice.
Her departure from This Morning was described as a decision made for personal and family reasons.
Recently, Gavin Plumb, her stalker, was sentenced to a minimum of 16 years in prison for his disturbing plot.
Upcoming Netflix Show
Holly is also set to host a new Netflix show called Bear Hunt.
This program will see British celebrities, including Mel B, Una Healy, and Boris Becker, tested by survival expert Bear Grylls in the Central American jungle.
While the air date is still pending, the show is expected to debut next year.
Netflix’s UK content chief, Anne Mensah, has hinted that Holly’s broad appeal will attract a diverse audience, including those familiar with her work on This Morning.
Holly is also hinting at focusing on other projects, including her lifestyle brand, Wylde Moon.
Looking Forward
As Holly steps back into the limelight with these new ventures, fans and viewers are eagerly anticipating her next moves and the fresh energy she will bring to television and beyond.
