Tragic Three-Vehicle Crash Claims Lives of Motorcycle Rider and Pillion Passenger Near Pembury Kent Just Days Before Christmas

The holiday season, usually filled with joy and anticipation, turned tragic for a family near Pembury, Kent.

A man and a woman, both in their 30s, lost their lives in a devastating motorcycle crash just days before Christmas.

The victims were riding a black Triumph motorcycle when the incident occurred.

Details of the Crash

The collision took place around 6:40 pm on the A228 Pembury Northern Bypass, near the junction with Old Church Road.

According to reports, the crash involved three vehicles: the motorcycle, a light-coloured Jaguar heading towards Tunbridge Wells, and a silver Ford van travelling in the opposite direction.

Emergency crews, including police and ambulance teams, rushed to the scene but sadly could not save the two passengers on the motorcycle.

Police Appeal for Witnesses

Kent Police have confirmed that the next of kin have been informed, though the identities of the victims have not yet been released.

Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are leading the inquiry, focusing on gathering as much information as possible about the moments leading up to the crash.

Police are particularly keen to speak with anyone who may have captured the incident on dashcam or mobile phone.

Drivers and witnesses are encouraged to check their devices for any footage showing the vehicles involved.

Roads Reopened

Kent County Council’s Highway department announced that, as of late Saturday afternoon, the A228 has been fully reopened.

Despite the road reopening, police continue their investigation into this tragic accident, urging anyone who witnessed the collision to come forward.
