Tommy Fury hints at Jake Paul rematch as he reflects on fan doubts and past victory during podcast interview in the UK

Even with a win already under his belt, Tommy Fury isn’t closing the chapter on Jake Paul just yet.

While promoting his latest appearance on The Good, The Bad & The Beast podcast with Eddie Hall, Fury stirred the pot with some revealing comments that suggest a second showdown with the YouTuber-turned-boxer may not be too far off.

A Close First Fight in Saudi Arabia

Back in 2023, Fury and Paul went head-to-head in a much-hyped eight-round bout in Saudi Arabia.

Despite being knocked down in the final round, Fury clinched a narrow victory by split decision.

Since then, talk of a rematch has never fully died down, with both fighters leaving the door wide open.

Fury Says Fans Still Doubt Him

During the podcast, Fury shared that fans are still sliding into his messages, telling him they think Paul would beat him in a second fight.

“Even now, people message me like, ‘If you fight him again, I think Jake’s got you this time,’” he said.

But Fury wasn’t having any of it—especially considering Paul’s recent opponents.

He threw a little shade at Paul’s last match, where the 28-year-old beat 58-year-old Mike Tyson.

“I don’t care who you are—at 60, you’re not the same.

For Jake to really improve, he needs fights like the one he had with me,” Fury said bluntly.

Not Chasing, But Definitely Interested

Fury made it clear that he’s not chasing the rematch—but he’s also not ruling it out.

In fact, he named Jake Paul as one of the top picks he’d still be interested in facing down the line.

“That fight will always be there,” he said. “There’s too much history behind it, and it makes sense for both of us.

I have no doubt that if I step into the ring with Jake again, I’m beating him.”

Jake Paul’s Next Fight Comes First

Before any Fury-Paul sequel can happen, Jake Paul has another big test ahead.

This weekend, he’s taking on Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. in Anaheim, California—a fight that’s generating a lot of buzz.

A win over Chavez Jr., a former world champ, would give Paul a serious credibility boost and possibly pave the way for future fights against more elite boxers—including, perhaps, a rematch with Fury.

Chavez Jr Steps Back Into the Spotlight

As for Chavez Jr., this will be just his second fight in the last four years.

The Mexican fighter returned to the ring last July after a three-year break and scored a win over ex-UFC star Uriah Hall by decision.

Saturday’s match will show whether Chavez Jr. still has the form that once made him a top contender—or whether Jake Paul will add another high-profile win to his resume.
