In a night full of drama and suspense on Celebrity Traitors, Olympic diver Tom Daley once again found himself in the spotlight—this time stripped of his competitive edge rather than his clothes.
The 31-year-old former Olympian became the latest star to be “murdered” in the castle, leaving fans shocked at his quick exit from the game.
Daley’s Departure Sparks Shock Among Contestants
Daley, known for his curiosity and strategic thinking, had quickly caught the attention of the show’s Traitors—Jonathan Ross, Alan Carr, and Cat Burns.
His probing questions around the roundtable proved costly, as the trio decided he was too clever to keep around.
Upon learning he had been eliminated, Daley remarked with humor and disappointment:
“Well, that didn’t take long, did it? I am gutted to be leaving the game.
I think I was murdered because people saw me as a threat and thought I might weasel them out eventually.”
He followed singer Paloma Faith as the second “murder” victim, picked off by Carr last week.
Contestants Face Early Suspicion and Banishment
The evening began with a heated debate among contestants about who to banish from the castle.
Names like Good Morning Britain presenter Kate Garraway, influencer Niko Omilana, and EastEnders actress Tameka Empson were thrown into the spotlight despite being Faithfuls.
Ultimately, it was Omilana who was voted off after suspicions arose about his role as a Traitor.
Standing in front of the remaining stars, Omilana expressed disbelief at his swift exit:
“First thing first, I can’t believe I’m out so quickly. But it’s been an honour getting to know every single one of you.
You’re all great people. I can now reveal that this whole time I’ve been honest… and I’m a faithful.”
A Scary Task and Some Comic Relief
After Omilana’s banishment and Daley’s murder, the cast faced a tense challenge designed to add money to the prize pot.
The frightening task proved overwhelming for 73-year-old actress Celia Imrie, who accidentally broke wind on camera.
With typical candor, she admitted to presenter Claudia Winkleman:
“I just farted. It’s just nerves. But I always own up.”
The moment offered a lighter break from the otherwise suspenseful evening.
Tameka Empson Becomes the Next Banishment Victim
At the second banishment ceremony, the remaining 16 celebrities debated who they suspected of being Traitors.
EastEnders star Tameka Empson was ultimately sent home. She reflected on her exit:
“It has been lovely meeting all of you. I’m just a bit stunned if I’m honest. I am a faithful.”
She also joked about overindulging at the castle’s lavish breakfasts:
“The breakfast table is everything. The food was very lovely, and I think I might have put on a few little… let’s say one pound.”
Tensions Rise as Traitors Plot Their Next Move
The episode ended with the three Traitors huddled together, deciding on their next “murder” victim.
The shortlist included Irish actress Ruth Codd, historian David Olusoga, and singer Charlotte Church.
Meanwhile, suspicions continue to swirl, with Ruth openly telling Celia and Alan that she believes Jonathan Ross could be a Traitor.
Fans will have to tune in to BBC One on Thursday at 9pm to see who will be eliminated next and how the castle drama unfolds.
