The guilty plea was made at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday.

Initial Relationship and Decision to End It

According to the court proceedings, Sloan had a sexual relationship with Mount after they met at a party hosted by Mount’s England teammate, Chilwell, in November 2020.

They remained in contact for approximately six months before Mount decided to end the relationship.

Bombardment of Messages and Changing Phone Numbers

Following the breakup, Mount was bombarded with messages from Sloan.

Prosecuting attorney Jason Seetal stated that Mount repeatedly asked her to stop contacting him and eventually blocked her number.

However, she continued sending messages from different phone numbers, using a total of 21 different numbers.

Some of these messages included collages of photos of Mount with other women.

Disturbing Messages and Concerns

Among the messages, one from an Instagram account named ‘Devil Baby’ stated Sloan’s ability to change her appearance and expressed the desire to apologize and make things right.

Another message showed an Apple account purchasing a new number for £12.99, indicating her intent to continue contacting Mount.

Mount became concerned about Sloan’s potential obsession or fixation with him and was uncertain about what she might do.

He worried that if she couldn’t reach him, she might show up at his training center.

Impact on Mount’s Teammates

Sloan’s messages also targeted other professional footballers, friends, and family members, including Billy Gilmour.

Gilmour expressed that Sloan’s behavior had a significant negative impact on his life, causing sleeplessness and affecting his performance on and off the field.

False Pregnancy Claims and Distrust

Gilmour revealed that he initially had contact with Sloan but made it clear that he did not want their communication to continue and had no relationship with her.

However, she falsely claimed to be pregnant, sharing information that only people close to Gilmour would know.

This led to his distrust and uncertainty about whom he could rely on.

Guilty Pleas and Sentencing

Orla Melissa Sloan, from Exeter, pleaded guilty to stalking Gilmour between September 10 and October 28 of the previous year.

She also admitted stalking Mount between June 19 and October 28 of the same year, as well as harassing Chilwell between October 20 and October 29, 2022.
