Three suspects arrested in Mandela Park mass shooting

Police have made a breakthrough when they arrested three suspects in connection with the shooting of five people in Mandela Park, Khayelitsha which occurred in the early hours of Saturday, 09 April 2022.

Harare police attended to a shooting incident at approximately 01:30 when they found five victims with gunshot wounds. Two of the victims succumbed to their injuries, whilst three survived the shooting and were taken to a nearby hospital for medical assistance.

Police have worked around the clock in trying to solve the case and have managed to arrest three suspects on Monday morning, 11 April 2022.

The suspects aged 29, 32 and 40 will be charged for two counts of murder and three attempted murders.

Once charged they will make a court appearance in Khayelitsha Magistrate Court on the mentioned charges.
