Garrith Jamieson, a spokesperson for ALS Paramedics Medical Services, said they received numerous calls just before noon on what was initially thought to be an electrocution on Hunt Road, before Clark Road, in Glenwood, Durban.

The municipal workers were reportedly injured when a wall next to them collapsed on Hunt Road just before noon on Sunday.

Jamieson added that ALS Paramedics Medical Services arrived at the scene to find three municipal workers who had been working on a line when the wall fell on them.

The workers were quickly pulled out by co-workers before the medical services arrived.

The patients were assessed by Advanced Life Support Paramedics and found to have sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate.

The three workers were stabilised on the scene before being transported to a nearby Durban hospital for further treatment.

Jamieson stated that the events leading up to the incident were unknown at this stage, but investigations would be carried out by the relevant authorities.
