Three brothers among four miners killed by gunmen in Plateau state

Gunmen assaulted a mining facility in Dong village, Jos South Local Council, Plateau State, killing three brothers and one other worker.

At 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 22, armed men suspected of being Fulani militias rushed the mining area and began shooting at random.

The four workers are said to have succumbed to their bullets. A woman who survived the shooting is being treated in an unnamed hospital, according to reports.

The three brothers identified as Francis James Danboyi, Moses Peter Danboyi and Livinus Pius Danboyi, will be laid to rest on Thursday, January 27.
