This month’s Kaizer Chiefs fixtures

The wait will soon be over. The Nedbank Cup, which will take place over the next two weekends, will bring Kaizer Chiefs and the DStv Premiership back to life.
Within the month of February, the great Amakhosi will take to the field for three matches.
Stuart Baxter’s team had just begun to take off before the Christmas break and AFCON 2021 threw a spanner in the works. Only one of the Glamour Boys’ seven games had ended in a loss, with five victories. Amakhosi will have to start from scratch this month.
The action will begin with the Nedbank Cup last 32 round, before the main bread and butter of the DStv Premiership where the Glamour Boys are in fourth spot with 16 points behind leaders Mamelodi Sundowns as well as three games in hand.
Here are Kaizer Chiefs’ fixtures in February:

  • Saturday 12 February: TS Galaxy (home), Nedbank Cup
  • Tuesday 15 February: Cape Town City (away), DStv Premiership
  • Saturday 26 February: Baroka FC (away), DStv Premiership.

Are you a Kaizer Chiefs fan that knows every fact about Amakhosi? If you are, congratulations, but here is some knowledge for those that may know less.
The Glamour Boys’ three biggest record wins came against two KwaZulu Natal clubs, so if you’re proudly KZN, please look away.
The highest score was a 6-0 bashing of AmaZulu, followed by a 6-1 thrashing of Maritzburg United as well a 5-0 burial of Black Leopards.
Below is a detailed look at the records
As they say in internet slang, Stellenbosh FC have ‘thrown shade’ at Kaizer Chiefs.
After tormenting defenders in the DStv Compact Cup last weekend, Stellenbosch captured the best moment where Ashley du Preez scored in the final against Chiefs goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune.
Keeping Amakhosi’s interest in du Preez in mind, Stellenbosch shared the striker’s goal on social media. Just a video right? Not really. The joke was on the Glamour Boys as the video’s background song is 50 Cent’s Window Shopper.
