These $22 Amazon shorts are a wardrobe staple since they’re so versatile

Amazon may not be your first thought when it comes to purchasing clothing. I’ve discovered that Amazon has a great assortment of loungewear, athleticwear, and other everyday products that don’t need to be high-end but won’t fall apart after a few washes.

The Amazon shopping experience is not always a breeze, however. It can be stressful and time-consuming to sift through apparently infinite pages of possibilities, and while reviews are important, it can be difficult to judge an item’s quality. I consider myself fortunate to have discovered this pair of sports shorts from the brand Automet, which rapidly became my most-worn article of apparel this summer.

The shorts are comfortable, adaptable, and of high quality.

For warm days, the Amazon shorts are very comfy.

During the summer, I practically live in athletic shorts, especially because I work from home and want to be casual most days. In May, I paid $21.99 for a pair of black Automet shorts so that my closet would be packed with seasonally-appropriate, comfortable clothing. I was impressed by the number of positive ratings (at the time of writing, there are 3,117 five-star reviews) and went with Amazon’s recommended size of medium (the shorts are available in sizes SX-3X). They fit like a glove and the craftsmanship amazed me, so I promptly got a second pair in Black and a pair in Coffee, a light brown color.

The shorts have a comfortable elastic waistband and fall just above the mid-thigh region.

I appreciated that the cloth is thick enough to endure wear and tear, but not so thick that it is unpleasant or overly heated. I particularly love that the waistband stays in place, which has been a problem for me with previous athletic shorts. Inside the waistband of these shorts is a drawstring, but I removed it because I don’t find them really useful or comfy. It was simple (I simply took it out; no scissors were required) and had no effect on the fit or appearance of the shorts.

You may dress up the shorts in a variety of ways, such as by donning a blazer or teaming them with a dressier shirt and mules.

These shorts are ideal for relaxing around the house, running errands, exercising, and may even be dressed up. I wear them with a cropped tank or t-shirt and sneakers for a casual appearance. I believe that pairing them with a breezy button-down and mules provides the ideal chic-yet-casual ensemble for the summer.

The shorts are available in numerous hues.

I already possess these shorts in two neutral colors, although they are available in a variety of hues.

A further advantage of these shorts is that they are available in a staggering 28 different hues. As I tend to wear neutrals, I opted for black and brown, but they have an abundance of colorful, dramatic, and even colorblocked alternatives.

The conclusion

Whether you live in loungewear like I do or just need comfortable pieces for the gym or casual days, these Automet shorts are worth purchasing. At just over $20, you’ll be hard-pressed to find a better value, and the color selection is unrivaled. Additionally, as they are sold on Amazon, you can anticipate speedy shipping. You may find yourself purchasing them in several hues if you proceed.
