The Sussexes: Prince Harry & Meghan docuseries coming to Netflix

Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle have an “at-home with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex-style” docuseries coming to Netflix, confirmed by Page Six on Wednesday 18 May.

PRINCE HARRY AND MEGHAN’S ‘AT HOME’ DOCUSERIES IS COMING TO NETFLIX

Page Six reports that Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle’s “at home” docuseries will be coming to Netflix. The publication reports that Netflix would like the series by the end of the year to tie in Harry’s memoir but the Sussex camp would prefer it air next year.

“The timing is still being discussed, things are up in the air,” said a producer to Page Six.

Prince Harry and Meghan were followed by Netflix cameras when they went to the Netherlands last month for the Invictus Games. This is Prince Harry’s global games for wounded and injured servicemen and women. Netrflix is making a documentary of it titled Heart of Invictus.

It seems more juicy scenes are on the way as cameras have been allowed behind the scenes at their home in Montecito, California. The cameras also previously joined the couple on their trip to New York City in September 2021.

“I think it’s fair to say that Netflix is getting its pound of flesh,” said a Hollywood insider to the publication.

Netflix has announced that they have scrapped the development of Pearl – an animated series created by Maghan. This was part of a cost-cutting measure.

THE SUSSEXES X NETFLIX

Prince Harry and Meghan signed a multi-year deal with Netflix back in 2020. The deal included the couple developing,

  • Documentaries
  • Docu-series
  • Feature films
  • Scripted shows
  • Children’s programming

“Our focus will be on creating content that informs but also gives hope. As new parents, making inspirational family programming is also important to us,” said Meghan in a statement to The New York Times in 2020.
