The Commissioner for Youths and Sports Development in Taraba State, Mr Imam Ibrahim, has called for the active participation of youths in the forthcoming general election in 2023.
The Commissioner who made the call in an interview with Voice of Nigeria in Jalingo, Taraba State capital, stressed that youths are the strength of every nation.

“I would like to encourage the youths in Nigeria and especially Youths from Taraba State to participate in the political contest in the next general election 2023, as they do I also want them to know that leadership position comes with a lot of responsibilities.
They must be sure and ready to aspire with a bold step of winning at the polls; they should also know that power is not just given; They work for it.
Young people must also work their way into the position of leadership,” he stressed.
The youth commissioner also encouraged the youths to win the electorate’s confidence through good conduct and personal sacrifices.
He thanked the Taraba State Governor for engaging three thousand youths under the rescue teachers scheme of the state and their subsequent permanent employment stressing that the gesture has boasted the education sector performance of the state.
