During the Council of State meeting, King Carl Gustaf officially informed the Government of the baby’s name: Ines Marie Lilian Silvia.
The little princess, who is now eighth in line to the Swedish throne, will be known as Princess Ines.
Along with her name, she was also granted the Duchy of Västerbotten.
However, due to a decision made by the King in 2019, Princess Ines will not hold the title of ‘Her Royal Highness’ and will not be part of the official Royal House, though she remains a cherished member of the royal family.
