Mkhwanazi, 32, who signed for the club in August 2021, has refused to get a Covid-19 vaccination which is against the club’s policy.

He has not played for Matsatsantsa this season.

Mkhwanazi previously played 173 matches in all competitions for Wits, 49 for AmaTuks, 21 for Royal AM, 14 for Mamelodi Sundowns and eight for SuperSport United.

He also has 11 Bafana Bafana caps to his name.

Meanwhile, SuperSport United will reportedly not be renewing the contract of former Orlando Pirates midfielder Kudakwashe Mahachi.

According to a Kickoff report, 28-year-old Mahachi is on his way out.

Mahachi joined SuperSport United from Orlando Pirates in 2019, but has failed to live up to expectations and the club have taken the option not to renew his contract.

The Zimbabwean midfielder last played for SuperSport United on 15 February in the 2-1 loss against Maritzburg United and has only played in nine games this season.

During his first two seasons at the Tshwane giants, Mahachi made 62 appearances for the side.

SuperSport United are currently eighth in the DStv Premiership standings with five matches to play this season.

They will next be in action away against Marumo Gallants on Saturday, 23 April.

Kick-off is scheduled for 19:30.
