St. Mary’s, Western Sydney: Car crashes into home, killing woman, arresting woman escaping with baby

A woman was killed when a car went off the road and crashed through her residence, while the alleged driver was apprehended after leaving the scene with her infant.A car rocketed all the way through a home on a straight residential street in the early hours of Saturday morning killing one of the four occupants (above)

Saturday at 5:20 a.m., emergency workers went to a property on Monfarville Street in St Marys, west of Sydney, after receiving reports that a car had smashed into it.

The police discovered a big hole in the wall, debris surrounding a car, and a 50-year-old woman in critical condition.

5.20 a.m., police were called to an address in western Sydney, where they discovered a severely injured 50-year-old woman and a wrecked family house (shown).

Police and New South Wales Ambulance paramedics attempted in vain to save her life before she passed away at the site.

According to reports, the three other inhabitants of the home were unharmed.

A mother, age 29, allegedly exited her vehicle and fled with her child in hand before being apprehended by police near the location.

The suspect motorist was subsequently apprehended and sent to a local hospital for required testing.

Officers from the Nepean Police Area Command have established a crime scene, which will be reviewed by the Crash Investigation Unit, according to a statement from NSW Police.

An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident has begun.

A mattress and two parts of a leather arm chair were among the house materials and personal goods strewn on the lawn behind the residence, where the automobile had halted.

On Saturday, police will resume their investigation.
