Spurs’ Manager Ange Postecoglou Confident Ahead of Manchester United Match with Several Key Players Fit Again After Injury Layoffs

Tottenham’s Injury Boost Ahead of Man United Clash

Tottenham Hotspur are gearing up for their upcoming match against Manchester United, and they’re likely to have several key players back in action.

After missing a number of players for their FA Cup exit to Aston Villa last weekend, Spurs fans can expect some positive changes.

Key Players Returning to Action

Tottenham faced a tough situation last weekend, with 11 players sidelined for their FA Cup loss.

However, manager Ange Postecoglou has confirmed that several of these players have returned to training this week, and could make a big impact for Sunday’s match.

Guglielmo Vicario, who has been out since suffering an ankle injury in November, is among the returning players.

Postecoglou mentioned that Vicario has been training well and is now ready to play.

Along with Vicario, James Maddison, Destiny Udogie, Wilson Odobert, and Brennan Johnson have also returned to the pitch, adding more depth to the squad.

Postecoglou’s Thoughts on the Week’s Training

Postecoglou was in a positive mood when talking about the team’s progress.

“It’s been a good week, fair to say, in terms of the health and well-being of the group of young men I look after,” he said with a smile.

He also noted that the players who have been on the field recently were given some time off to recharge, which should help them moving forward.

On the injury front, Postecoglou is happy with the progress of his returning players.

“It’s good to have some significant players back for training, as it raises the quality and level of our sessions,” he explained. “Vicario’s back and trained really well.

Maddison’s ready to go, and Destiny, Wilson, and Brennan have all trained with the group and are in a good space.”

Remaining Injury Concerns

Despite the good news on the return of several players, Tottenham will still be missing a few key names for Sunday’s game.

Micky van de Ven (hamstring), Radu Dragusin (knee), Cristian Romero (groin), Richarlison (calf), Timo Werner (hamstring), and Dominic Solanke (knee) remain unavailable for selection.

Still, Postecoglou is optimistic about his team’s readiness to face Manchester United.

It’s shaping up to be an exciting match with Spurs looking to bounce back and take on United in their bid to climb the table.
