A sports massage therapist sentenced to four years in prison for sexually assaulting two women in his clinic and apologising for his ‘male urges’.

Leon Tomasso, 35, was sentenced on Tuesday at King’s Lynn Crown Court after admitting to two charges of assault by penetration against two women in 2019.

Tomasso informed one of his victims that he had “misread the signs” when he raped her, before attributing his actions to “male urges that took over.”

Tomasso informed the second victim that the attack was “part of the wind-down” and that he believed she “would enjoy it.”

Investigators said that the massage therapist “exploited and abused” the trust of his victims when they were in a vulnerable state.

Officials also praised the women for coming forward, stating that their “bravery and determination” made Tomasso’s imprisonment possible.

In 2019, Tomasso, a resident of Wymondham, attacked the first victim during one of her routine sports massages at a clinic in Norfolk.

She reported to authorities that the massage therapist claimed he misunderstood the symptoms when she confronted him immediately after the attack.

Then, when she questioned him over which ‘signs’ had made him think it was ok to penetrate her, he reportedly told her: ‘I’m sorry, it was my male urges that took over. It won’t happen again.’

Tomasso abused a second lady during a sports massage at a gym the next day. The second victim said that Tomasso told her the attack was “part of the wind-down” and that he believed she “would enjoy it.”

Later, he admitted to her that he had “overstepped the bounds” and “let his emotions get the best of him.”

The attacks were reported to Norfolk Police by both victims, and Tomasso was apprehended at his residence days later. Afterward, he was sent to the Wymondham Police Investigation Centre for interrogation.

The massage therapist was freed on bond before being charged with a crime.
