SPD detectives are investigating after a woman reported she was sexually assaulted Monday evening in West Seattle

The Seattle Police Department is conducting an investigation after a woman reported being sexually assaulted Monday evening in West Seattle.

Officers were sent to the Delridge area around 6:15 p.m. in response to a complaint of an injured lady.

Officers and a K9 unit combed the area for the suspect without success. The person was sent to the hospital for treatment.

Police gathered information regarding a person of interest in the investigation, a man who was seen in the neighbourhood wearing a black Air Jordan hooded sweatshirt, a yellow medical mask, black sports shorts, and slide shoes.

Detectives from the Sexual Assault Unit are continuing their investigation.
