South Africa’s Springboks Face a Challenging 2025 Rugby Test Season Including Key Matches in Auckland, Wellington, Paris, Cardiff, and Dublin

Springboks’ 2025 Test Schedule: What’s Coming Up?

Towards the end of last year, South African rugby fans got an exciting glimpse into the Springboks’ upcoming season, with key dates confirmed for their Test matches in 2025.

With a packed year ahead, the Springboks are gearing up for some thrilling encounters both at home and abroad.

Incoming Series and Rugby Championship

In July, Italy and Georgia will be heading to South Africa for the Incoming Series, providing an early opportunity for the Springboks to showcase their strength.

The following month, they’ll kick off their defense of the Rugby Championship title with back-to-back matches against the Wallabies.

The two tests will take place on the 16th and 23rd of August, promising some intense rugby action.

Once August wraps up, the Springboks will head overseas, with away games against New Zealand in Auckland and Wellington on the 6th and 13th of September, respectively.

They will then return to South Africa for their final two Rugby Championship fixtures – a home match against Argentina on 27th September, followed by an away game in Argentina on 4th October.

European Tour in November

Looking further ahead, the Springboks’ November European tour is shaping up to be one of the most exciting parts of the year.

According to reports from Afrikaans Sunday paper Rapport, the Springboks will face Wales on 1st November in Cardiff, followed by France on 8th November in Paris, Italy on 15th November, and finally, Ireland on 22nd November in Dublin.

This tour will be a significant one, especially given the 2023 World Cup quarter-final match between the Springboks and France, where South Africa triumphed in a nail-biting 29-28 win at the Stade de France.

Another big storyline will be the Springboks’ challenge against Ireland, as they haven’t won in Dublin since 2012.

This adds an extra layer of excitement and anticipation to an already action-packed tour.
