South African Electricity Minister Kgosientsho Ramakgopa Celebrates ANC’s Milestone with Stunning Dance Performance at 113th Anniversary in Khayelitsha

Minister Ramakgopa Shows Off His Dance Moves

Minister of Electricity Kgosientsho Ramakgopa recently stole the spotlight once again, this time at the ANC’s 113th anniversary celebrations in Khayelitsha.

Known for his energetic personality, Ramakgopa, affectionately called “Sputla,” was seen on a video showcasing his impressive dance moves.

At 49, he danced to South Africa’s iconic song Sister Bethina—a performance that had people half his age struggling to keep up.

A Year Without Load Shedding

Ramakgopa’s fun-loving nature isn’t the only thing making waves.

Since taking office in 2023, he’s been at the forefront of managing Eskom, South Africa’s electricity provider.

Under his leadership, the country has gone nearly a full year without experiencing the dreaded rolling blackouts, or load shedding.

South Africans have taken to social media to express their appreciation, particularly since this has been a major relief to many citizens.

Turning 50 and Still Going Strong

Despite his official duties, the Minister still knows how to have fun.

Fans were quick to celebrate his vibrant energy and dedication to keeping the country powered up.

Interestingly, later this month, Ramakgopa will turn 50, and his youthful vibe is likely aided by his much younger wife, Georgia Shekeshe.

At 13 years his junior, Georgia has been by his side for almost a decade.

The couple first met in 2011 when Georgia worked as a personal assistant to the then-mayor of Tshwane.

Their relationship blossomed from a professional one into a romantic one, and Georgia even left her job when they became a couple.

The pair shares a son together.
