Son allegedly kills mother in Potchefstroom – then DRINKS her blood

When police arrived at the scene on Monday, the mother, 53-year-old Kedisaletse Elizbeth Moswane’s body was found inside a shack with numerous stab wounds.

“Initial information indicated that there was a fight between the mother and her 24-year-old son, Thabang Mishack Moswane,”

North West police spokesperson, Colonel Adéle Myburgh said.

The police were informed that Thabang was allegedly seen drinking the mother’s blood after stabbing her to death.

He was immediately arrested and has appeared before the Koster Magistrates’ Court, on Wednesday.

He appeared on a charge of murder.

“Thabang will remain in custody until his second court appearance on Monday, 16 May 2022,”

Myburgh said.

The Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Sello Kwena was shocked to learn about the horrific incident.

He reiterated that police will continue to work hard to ensure that those who perpetrate crimes against women and children are brought to book.

SONS KILL FATHER FOR ALLEGEDLY KILLING DOG

Meanwhile, in Lusikisiki two brothers age 27 and 29 were arrested after their 74-year-old father was murdered at his home.

According to police information the deceased was with his family, wife and daughter in his residence, when he assaulted a dog until it died.

Eastern Cape police spokesperson, Sergeant Kaya Matola-Mvanyashe said the two suspects assaulted their father and he sustained head injuries.

The father was taken to St Elizabeth Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

“The two suspects fled to Mzizangwa location, were they later arrested and charged with murder,”

Matola-Mvanyashe said.

The brothers appeared before the Magistrate court on Tuesday and the case  was postponed.

KZN POLICE OFFICER KILLS ELDERLY MOTHER

A 46-year-old police officer attached to the KwaDabeka Community Service Centre appeared before the Pinetown Magistrate’s Court, on 9 May.

He faces murder charges after he allegedly assaulted his mother and she succumbed to her injuries.

Police spokesperson Lieutenant-Colonel Nqobile Gwala said police received a complaint about the assault of a 70-year-old mother on Friday, 6 May.

When officers arrived at the scene, they caught the suspect in the act assaulting the mother with a plank.
