Seychelles: President Ramkalawan sends congratulatory message to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II

On behalf of the government and people of the Republic of Seychelles, President Wavel Ramkalawan sent a message of congratulations on the celebration of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee.

In his message, the President said, “Your remarkable seventy years of service is an unprecedented and extraordinary milestone in the history of the British monarchy.

Throughout your reign, you have been a remarkable global personality whose legacy transcends national borders.”

He further added “You have been and continue to be a symbol of stability, grace and hope for the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth. I wish to celebrate Your Majesty’s continuing reign, in being loved and respected by the people of the United Kingdom, the Commonwealth, and the entire world.”

The Queen’s coronation took place on June 2, 1953, at Westminster Abbey in London. The major Platinum Jubilee celebrations will therefore begin on Thursday, June 2, 2022.
