Friday, January 28, 2022 – Amani National Congress (ANC) party leader, Musalia Mudavadi, caused an earthquake in the political arena on Sunday when he pledged to work with Deputy President William Ruto ahead of the August 9th presidential election.

Mudavadi, who made the pronouncement at the Bomas of Kenya during his party’s National Delegates Conference (NDC), said after soul searching and listening to the Western Kenya electorate, he had decided to join the Ruto team.

Mudavadi’s decision to join DP Ruto is said to have caught statehouse operatives off guard since the duo might win the presidency in August.

To avert a possibility of Ruto/Musalia’s presidency in August, Uhuru is said to have disbursed Sh 500 million to bribe Western Kenya Members of Parliament to dissociate themselves from Mudavadi.

According to former Sports Cabinet Secretary, Richard Echesa, Uhuru is giving every western Kenya MP Sh 25 million to distance himself from Ruto and Mudavadi‘s alliance.

“Yes the President has disbursed Sh 500 million to bribe Western Kenya MPs to distance themselves from Ruto/Mudavadi alliance,” Echesa told a mammoth rally in Bungoma County on Friday.
