Seattle Parks and Recreation opens renovated Fairmount Playground in West Seattle

The newly renovated south play area at Fairmount Playground opens to the public! Fairmount Playground is located at 5400 Fauntleroy Way S.W.
The renovated play area includes play structures for children ages 2-5 and 5-12.
The equipment features multiple slides, overhead ring trek, small net climber, suspension bridge places to hop and balance, plus fun ways to get up and down.
The two structures include accessible transfer platforms.
Two, new accessible play ramps have been installed.
A future pavement renovation project will update adjacent paths to meet current accessibility standards and connect the north play ramp with a new accessible sidewalk.
Thank you to everyone who participated in the public process and a special thank you to the students at Fairmount Park Elementary for their input and patience during construction.
This project is funded by the Seattle Park District.
