Sean Stewart opens up about his journey of healing while seeking treatment at a California rehab center

Sean Stewart, the son of rock legend Rod Stewart, has opened up about his decision to check into a rehabilitation center in California.

The 44-year-old reality TV star has confirmed that he is actively working on becoming a better version of himself and hopes that by sharing his journey, he can help others facing similar struggles.

Stewart, known for his appearances on various reality TV shows, revealed that his time in rehab is focused on dealing with childhood trauma, persistent ADHD, and a lifelong battle with feelings of inadequacy.

The Challenges of ADHD and Learning Disabilities

Since childhood, Sean has grappled with ADHD and dyslexia, which made his school years incredibly difficult.

He recalls being labeled “Stupid Stewart,” a nickname that left deep emotional scars.

“I’ve been dealing with this for decades, and it has been a painful journey, something that many people can relate to,” he shared.

This is not the first time Sean has spoken about his struggles.

He previously appeared on Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew and has been candid about past substance use.

However, he emphasizes that his current stay in rehab is about addressing the emotional pain stemming from ADHD and the internal battle with self-worth.

Embracing Therapy and Self-Improvement

Determined to heal, Stewart is undergoing therapy to confront the pain of his past and develop healthier coping mechanisms.

“I’m in therapy now, focusing on working through my problems and learning to manage ADHD in a way that allows me to live a fulfilling life,” he explained.

Despite facing challenges, Stewart has built a career in entertainment and fashion, including launching his clothing line, Dirty Weekend.

Still, he admits that success has often felt out of reach due to his personal struggles.

“Just because I have ADHD and dyslexia doesn’t mean I can’t have a successful life.

I’m learning to cope and move forward,” he said.

Advocating for Openness About Mental Health

Stewart wants to use his experiences to help others who may be silently battling their own struggles.

“A lot of people deal with disorders, and being open about them is important.

Look at Elon Musk—he has spoken openly about being on the spectrum and still thrives.

I want to be someone who others can look to and say, ‘If he can work through it, so can I,'” he said.

Finding Solace in a Supportive Environment

The rehab facility where Sean is staying offers a serene setting overlooking the Pacific Ocean, along with various therapeutic activities such as equine therapy, acupuncture, and group counseling.

He expressed gratitude for the opportunity to step away from daily responsibilities and focus on his well-being.

“I’m grateful for this time. I want to be the best version of myself, not just for me, but for my family and my future.

One day, I hope to have kids and be a great dad,” he shared.

Using His Story to Inspire Others

Stewart hopes that by sharing his journey, he can inspire others to seek help rather than suffer in silence.

“I want to be a role model for those who need encouragement. If my story can help even one person find the strength to get the help they need, then I know I’m making a difference,” he said.

A Strong Support System

Throughout this journey, Sean has had the support of his girlfriend, Julia Stambler, a successful esthetician and salon owner.

The couple was recently spotted enjoying time with the Stewart family on a luxurious superyacht in celebration of Rod Stewart’s 80th birthday.

Rod Stewart, a father of eight, gathered his large blended family for a grand celebration in Barbados, reinforcing the strong family ties that continue to support Sean in his path to self-improvement.

Looking Ahead

As Sean Stewart continues his rehabilitation journey, he remains committed to healing and personal growth.

With the support of his family, loved ones, and a dedicated team of professionals, he hopes to emerge stronger, more confident, and ready to embrace the future with a renewed sense of purpose.
